Why We’re Fundraising

The Buddhist Council of NSW is raising funds to continue our mission of compassion, generosity, and service to the wider community. Guided by the principles of dāna (giving) and mettā (loving-kindness), we aim to bring people together through education, cultural understanding, and meaningful acts of support.

Sustains Buddhist education, meditation workshops, and temple-based community initiatives.

Host inclusive community events across denominations to build unity, mutual understanding, and deeper connections.

Our BBQ stall is located near the Bunnings main entrance and is wheelchair accessible. Volunteers will be on hand to assist with mobility needs or dietary requests. Please contact us in advance if you require specific accommodations.

Setup & Pack Down

Assist with setting up tables, banners, and equipment before and after the event.

What is the Buddhist Council of NSW?
The Buddhist Council of NSW (BCNSW) is a not-for-profit organisation representing over 200 Buddhist temples and associations across the state. We support Buddhist education, interfaith understanding, and social welfare programs guided by compassion and wisdom.
How will the funds be used?
All proceeds from the sausage sizzle go toward community outreach, educational programs, and emergency relief efforts that benefit individuals and families across NSW.
Can I volunteer if I’m not Buddhist?
Absolutely! Our events are open to everyone. We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds who share our values of kindness, generosity, and community spirit.
Are there vegetarian or vegan BBQ options?

Unfortunately, Bunnings only permits beef sausage sizzles, so vegan or vegetarian options will not be available.
