Kagyu Monlam: 15th century Tibetan prayer festival renewed in Australia
The Kagyu Monlam has taken place annually in Australia since 2011, with the exception of the COVID years. An auspicious Buddhist Prayer Festival, originating with the Kagyu lineage in Tibet. Since 1983 it has grown into a major event in Bodhgaya, and more recently has been offered all over the world.
Blooming Together: Buddhist Muslim shared iftar dinner
Buddhist and Muslim communities came together for our first joint iftar to celebrate Ramadan. ‘Blooming Together’ was an interfaith event that was the combined effort of the Buddhist Council of NSW, Affinity Intercultural Foundation and Nan Tien Temple.
