In a time of turmoil and uncertainty, generational and technological changes, Buddhist leaders and practitioners around the world are rising up in unity to offer words of wisdom and powerful prayers to bring peace, respect and kindness to the world around us.

Throughout July and August, the 12^th Australia Kagyu Monlam will be hosted in different parts of Sydney, culminating in this auspicious event in Sydney Town Hall. Buddhists and non-Buddhists are all invited to attend this extraordinary event, as we join in dialogue and prayer for world peace. We will be guiding participants through the universal values of Loving-kindness, Compassion, Joy, and Equanimity, so as to make them real in our hearts and in the world around us.

Session 1: Wisdom teachings (9:30 AM – 12:30 PM)

– Blessings from Goshir Gyaltsab Rinpoche, regent of the Karmapa, revered as an emanation of Vajrapāṇi
– Buddhist talk from Bhante Sujato, Founder of Sutta Central
– Dharma Talk by Venerable Ban Ruo Shi, Representative of the Mahāyāna Tradition, Founder and Abbot of Prajna Monastery Australia, and Chairman of ACBC
