After extensive renovation work over the past few years, the Association of Engaged Buddhists is proud to welcome you to attend the on-site official re-opening of Vejjasala (place of healing).
Schedule:
- 9.30am: Gates open
- 10.30am: Opening ceremony
- 11.00am: Food stalls open
- 3pm: Finish
There is no charge to attend (if you are bringing your own lunch), but we’d appreciate it if you could still book uisng the “Attendance-Only“ ticket so we have an idea of numbers.
As well as the re-opening ceremony, we will have a ‘Mini’ Food Fair with a selection of stalls. Again, we would request that if you book food tickets in advance so that we can cater accordingly.
- 2 x $12 vouchers can be used for Char Kway Teow, Fried Rice Cake (Char kway Kak) or Nasi Lemak
- 1 x $6 voucher which can be used for Ice Kachang or Kuih (desserts)
Take-away portions may be available for purchase on the day (card-only) should supplies allow. Pre-purchase lunch tickets close Sun 27th Nov in order for us to cater appropriately.
A small number of tickets will be available for purchase (card-only) on the day, but pre-purchase is greatly preferred.
- Pick-up from Strathfield Station (South-side Roundabout) at 7.45am
- Return to Strathfield Station at approx. 5pm
- Transport Ticket bookings close 4 weeks prior to the event to allow us to book appropriate transportation
If you are able to offer a lift to other attendees, or would like a lift yourself, please let us know when booking tickets. We will endeavour to match people from the same area, but cannot guarantee a lift will be available.
Please bring your own picnic blanket, chairs and drinks with you. In the case of wet weather we will contact ticket holders via email with instructions.
