Join the Dhamma Walk 12 May 2021
Costs: Free | Registration essential
Ven Chao Khun Keng, fellow monastics and lay practitioners are on an inspiring Tudong journey walking a thousand kms on foot from Geelong to Sydney, to promote the Buddha’s messages. Tudong was an austere practiced by the Buddha and his followers, and it literally means “shaking off”. In the walking, with little possession, and only taking one meal a day in the morning, this practice can be greatly conductive to the development of wisdom and insight, and in doing so shake-off one’s greed, anger & delusions
Metta Centre invites you to be a part of this journey. The estimated date for the last day of the Tudong journey is on 12 May 2021. We invite you to join us at 8am that day to offer dana (the one meal that day) at Wat Lao Buddha Metta Buddhist Society (St Johns Park). You are also welcome to join us on any part of our walk to final destination, Wat Buddharangsee in Stanmore. As the group is travelling by foot, the day and location is subject to change. Accordingly, we will post any updates on our website and social media pages as to the date, time, meeting location, and route closer to the day.
