At the first Sydney ARRCC network meeting for 2020, those present generally preferred to work on encouraging the Federal Government to direct it’s post-pandemic stimulus spending on low-carbon, employment-intensive industries, and not on a “gas-fired” recovery.
Those who came also wanted to continue pressure on contractors and companies working with Adani, eg, Marsh insurance brokers.
Although these directions are not set in stone, it is hoped the group can do more detailed planning at the next meeting. There’s some rich campaigning experience among people in this group.
