Insight, Ways of Looking, Dependent arising and Emptiness practices
This is a weekly online course for those with mindfulness experience and at least two weeks’ participation in silent residential meditation retreats. Limited to 8 or 9 participants, the 12-week program covers Rob Burbea’s practices and teachings from the first half of his book “Seeing That Frees”. Materials such as guided meditations, lecture clips, and optional readings will be provided, along with weekly reading assignments (under 15 pages).
Join renowned teacher Victor von der Heyde who will lead this 12-week course designed to help understand the deeper teachings of the Buddha. The course will be structured with a framework to understand the Path and delivered sequentially over the weeks. The course will cover basic samadhi; practices that lead to us being less bound up; how we can use insights that might otherwise fade away; ways of working with the three characteristic (dukkha, anicca, anatta) and understandings of emptiness/shunyata and dependent arising.
