We are excited to announce the upcoming Saga Dawa celebration at our centre
on Saturday 18 May 2024.

According to the lunar calendar, Saga Dawa Day falls on 23 May 2024 and
holds significant importance in Tibetan Buddhism as it commemorates the
birth, enlightenment, and passing away of Lord buddha. It’s a time for
reflection, spiritual growth, and acts of kindness.

We invite you to join us for a day filled with meaningful activities,
including prayers, meditation, and lighting of the Butter Lamps.

Sakya Tharpa Ling will be dedicating 108 butter lamps in our shrine on this
auspicious day. We cordially invite you to join us to sponsor one of these
beautiful lamps. Each lamp is available to be sponsored at $10 each or any
amount you may wish to donate.

12:30am: Prajana Paramita Prayer concluded with the Long Life
Prayer

1pm: Vegetarian Lunch

participating in this auspicious occasion. Together, let’s celebrate the
teachings of compassion, wisdom, and peace that the Lord Buddha has
bestowed upon us.
