Movement as Awakening is a two-day immersive retreat exploring presence and embodiment through mindful movement, somatic awareness and Buddhist wisdom.
Through gentle, guided practices drawn from meditation, Qi Gong, Tai Chi, yoga and conscious movement, participants are invited to slow down, listen deeply to the body, and access its natural intelligence.
The retreat offers a supportive space to release tension, cultivate wakeful awareness and develop a more compassionate relationship with the body—supporting both daily life and other contemplative practices.
Led by Dr Kristina Mah, a long-time martial artist, academic and retreat leader, the weekend weaves together dynamic and contemplative traditions with periods of silence, stillness, reflective inquiry and group dialogue.
Open to all bodies and experience levels, this retreat offers practical, embodied tools for mobility, balance, regeneration and presence—leaving participants grounded, refreshed and resourced to integrate these practices into everyday life.
