Soka (grief), parideva(wailing), dukkha (painful), domanassa (suffering), and upayasa (exhaustion) encompasses expressions of grief and lamentation from loss, highlighting universal sufferings experienced in life. Every person will die. We will lose all that we hold dear and even our own life. However, death isn’t intrinsically suffering. The Buddha taught us how to prepare, process and put to and end the suffering of death and loss.
