Change is inevitable in life, as well as pain, pleasure and all the ups and downs of being human. However the skills that cultivate happiness can be practiced and taught, creating neural pathways in the brain. Practicing loving-kindness or “metta” both in formal meditation and in daily life is one of these key skills. Through a metta practice we can wire the brain and our emotional well being toward happiness and in doing so we can become more resilient in the f
ace of an ever changing world.
The aim of the course is to show you how to develop the skill of metta meditation in your life.
This 4-week course is suitable for both newcomers and experienced practitioners that wish to have a refresher. If you have completed the two week course on forgiveness with Chien (in Oct) this metta course is a natural next step, however, it is not necessary to complete and it can be done as a stand alone course too.
