As part of our ‘Women in Buddhism’ series of talks, held in March to coincide with International Women’s Day, Bhikkhuni Ayya Karunika will explore how the Buddha uplifted the lives of women in the highly patriarchal society of ancient India. This talk will delve into the Buddha’s unwavering compassion, offering women equal opportunities and fostering mutual respect.
