We warmly invite you to welcome the new year with a powerful and joyous practice: our New Year’s Eve All-Night Green Tara Puja, running from 7 pm on 31 December through to 6 am on 1 January. (If you’re able, you’re very welcome to join the setup from 3 pm.)
This special night is dedicated to world peace, personal flourishing, and the long lives of our precious gurus. The practice includes chanting, circumambulations, offerings, prostrations, and additional prayers to clear obstacles and generate vast merit. And yes — there will be plenty of snacks and hot chai to keep everyone energised!
Why Tara on New Year’s Eve?
Green Tara is especially known for her swift protection and her ability to dispel fears — including anxiety, stress, trauma, and the deep inner causes of our challenges. This practice helps transform disturbing emotions, supports difficult life transitions, and brings clarity, confidence and courage for the year ahead.
Lama Zopa Rinpoche beautifully explains: “All the actions of the buddhas have manifested in this female aspect of buddha, Tara the Liberator, in order to help living beings to accomplish successfully both temporal and ultimate happiness.”
We hope you can join us — whether for an hour, a session, or the whole night — as we step into the new year with community, courage, and Tara’s boundless blessings. No registration required.
