Event Details

Tara is a Sanskrit word which means ‘She Who Rescues.’ She is a female Buddha within the Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhist traditions. Her qualities are associated with enlightened activity, wisdom, and compassion in action. Her unimpeded action is instantly and precisely attuned to the needs of each moment. She knows just what’s needed to facilitate our liberation. Green is also associated with the air element, and Tara’s green form expresses her unwavering commitment to act for the benefit of beings with the swiftness of the air. Meditating on Green Tara helps to remove fear, gives protection, removes obstacles and obscurations and awakens enlightened awareness.

Rinpoche has kindly agreed to bestow the empowerment of Green Tara which permits one to meditate in the form of Tara, the effect of which is designed to awaken the dormant qualities of Tara within you, Rinpoche will also give detailed instruction on the Sadhana (meditation manual) of Green Tara and will guide how to do the practice.
