Metta Centre is honoured to host Ven Dr Candana as part of his Australia trip. Ven Dr Candana will be giving an evening Dhamma talk, and a weekend non-residential retreat at the Metta Centre:

Wed 5 April: evening Dhamma talk on “Authentic Living through the Dhamma…by going back to the Source.”
22 and 23 April: Two-day non-residential retreat on: “The Path to Nibbāna requires Mettā (while gently holding the hand of Sati).”

About the Speaker: Ven. Dr. Candana (pronounced “Chandana”) is a Theravāda Buddhist monk, who has been a student of the Dhamma for over thirty years, having sat at the feet of many learned Mahātheras, and has been teaching meditation for over two decades. He has received the title of “Teacher of Dhamma” (Ācariya/Ājahn) in 1998, given to him by his first teacher, the late Ven. Dr. Havanpola Ratanasāra Nāyaka Mahāthero, who first encouraged the (then) layperson Candana to begin teaching the Dhamma in the 1990’s.
