Āsālha Pūjā commemorates the day the Buddha gave the first teaching which resulted in the first Sangha member arising and thus completing the Triple Gem, the Buddha, Dhamma, Sangha. On this sacred day, come to the monastery to practice sitting and walking meditation to build mindfulness and wisdom.
The formal Āsālha Pūjā Ceremony begins at 5:00pm and consists of Evening Chanting and Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta, listening to Dhamma talk, and Candle Procession.
Flowers and Candles will be provided by the monastery.
