Insight, or vipassana in Pali, is a realisation of an aspect of reality that involves a profound shift in perspective, revealing what was obscured by our misconceptions. In this course we will look at a balanced development of both concentration (or calm-abiding) and insight through alternating stabilising and analytical meditations, nurturing qualities like mindfulness, discerning wisdom, and so forth.
This manner of practice brings benefits such as calming of our physical and mental reactivities, enhancing blissful experiences, and, most importantly, gaining progressive insights into impermanence, selflessness and interdependence. Each session will feature explanations, guided meditations and time for discussion and Q&A. No prerequisite needed; all are welcome.
