The term resilience means the ability to bounce back or re-form. In relation to our lives, it is our ability to bounce back from adversity. Difficult times and setbacks are often hard to avoid, how we recover and how fast we recover is important to our emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing.
The Buddha taught many skillful methods to deal with adversity, to transform difficult circumstances into the path to enlightenment. In Buddhism developing spiritual realisations is based on overcoming both internal and external adversity this not only benefits ourselves but also develops our wisdom to help others to overcome their difficulties.
In this talk we will be examining Buddhist methods and points of view to improve our resilience in order to to lead happier, healthier and more productive lives
Hybrid event: Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in an interactive session with the speaker, with the discussions facilitated by Tina Ng in person at the Metta Centre (Bankstown). As we invite speakers from all around the world and Sydney, our speaker for this event will be joining us by video.
