Join us to discuss how we can contribute towards achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals which were adopted by the UN in 2015.
About this Event
The 2030 Campaign recognises the painful things we see in the environment and society, and at the same time sees that we have a calling in our heart to address these issues. The 2030 Campaign addresses this dilemma by being a reliable way forward that we can have confidence in.
At the launch we will hear from:
Local Councillors about the initiatives of local government,
The 2030 Campaign Team about how the campaign can support our efforts to work together and make progress with keeping the planet liveable.
Keynote Speaker: Andrea Spencer-Cooke is speaking as VP Programs of the United Nations Association of Australia. Andrea is an expert in how to connect sustainability goals to practical action. She will help us to understand how we can empower and organise ourselves and our organisations to put our vision of a liveable planet (the SDGs) into practice. Andrea has extensive experience in this practice through One Stone Advisors, a B Corp that she co-founded.
This Campaign serves to explore how Spirituality and Environment have similar goals and would be conducted by the Fo Guang Shan Nan Tien Temple, BLIA Sydney and Nan Tien Institute.
Please join our Spiritual and Environmental Preservation Practice Workshop which runs monthly to enhance our daily lives to make a difference in sustainable living.
