Event Details
Tibetan medicine views the human body as a reflection of nature, composed of the five elements: Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, and Space. These elements combine to form the three nyepas (humours)—Loong, Tripa, and Beken—which govern all physical, emotional, and mental functions.
Earth provides structure, stability, and strength
Water supports bodily fluids, lubrication, and nourishment
Fire regulates digestion, metabolism, and body temperature
Wind governs movement, breath, circulation, and the mind
Space allows openness, communication, and growth
Health arises when these elements remain in balance within the body. By understanding our elemental nature and dominant humour, we can make wiser choices regarding diet, lifestyle, seasonal routines, and mental practices, supporting long-term wellbeing and preventing disease.
