Welcome
The SRE (Special Religious Education) programme overseen by the Buddhist Council of NSW is the main focus of this section of the website. The Teachers’ Space is intended to enhance the SRE programme by giving information to assist our teachers, providing a forum for interactive discussion, and promoting relevant events. The majority of this section may also serve as a resource for the general public.
SRE teachers who do not have a password are encouraged to contact the SRE team to get one. Contact details can be found in the Contact Us section of this website. There are two sections under password: the Teachers’ Forum and Teaching Materials.
The Teachers’ Forum is an interactive site which allows the sharing of ideas, experiences and issues which may be pertinent to many SRE teachers.
The Teaching Material section contains three important subdivisions:Discovering Buddha - the curriculum generously shared by the Buddhist Council of Victoria – and two groups of materials currently employed by Primary Ethics in their school curriculum. Both of these subdivisions are protected by password because they may not be used anyone other than BC SRE teachers.
